WHAT PAYMENT METHODS YOU ACCEPT?

Show us the money! Jokes, aside we will take pretty much all methods of payment on our website. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, and PiPH gift cards!

 

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

Most orders ship within 3-4 business days from our warehouse in Portland, Oregon, USA. If you purchased during our site relaunch, a Holiday weekend or a large sale, please give our team a few extra days to get their shit together. If you would like your order faster than this, please select an expedited shipping method. Give us a shout at hello@piphpaper.com with any requests or questions about rush shipping.

 

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

Shipping rates will be calculated based on the order total and the destination address. Please note that all Original Art will have an additional “Pink Glove” Shipping Surcharge. What is Pink Glove Delivery? It's just a PiPHified version of the term White Glove Shipping, and it describes the method of shipping required to ensure fine art receives the attention it needs due to either size, value, or fragility. Pink Glove pricing will be visible at checkout after adding your desired original art to your cart. Please note, if you purchase other items those items will ship separately from your art, and you will see a separate shipping fee. WHAT IS YOUR ONLINE RETURN POLICY?

We have a little sign at the shop that says “Don’t buy shit if you plan on returning it.” Most people laugh… some people scoff. First of all, it’s a joke okay, Susan. Second of all, we don’t sell shoes. Or clothes. So, for the most part, you really shouldn’t be returning stuff. We’re a small paper business with limited inventory and specialty curated items from artisanal makers. Every time an order goes out, it is taken off the floor and so is the opportunity for somebody else to buy it. We appreciate your business and hope that you purchase thoughtfully and with the intent to keep it.

That said, if for any reason you aren’t happy with your order, or something arrives damaged or wrong, please contact us via email (hello@piphpaper.com) within 7 days of receiving your product so that we can swap out your item or provide store credit. If you are returning items, we must receive your items within 14 days or your exchange will be ineligible. We do not provide cash refunds – only store credit.

 

Please note – all original art, framed art, vintage art, personal care items, vibrators, holiday décor and seasonal product is final sale – no exceptions. From time to time, additional items will be final sale and they will be listed as FINAL SALE at time of purchase. All items listed as final sale will be ineligible for store credit.

 

DO YOU OFFER GIFT WRAPPING / GIFT NOTES?

Sure do! All online orders already ship with a price-free invoice and super cute packaging and tissue (if we do say so ourselves)! But, if you want an EVEN snazzier luxury option, select extra gift wrapping for $12.95 and we will include proper gift wrapping, with paper, tape and a grosgrain ribbon. Be sure to complete the gift message/comment section at checkout so that your recipient also gets a note from you! Unless of course this is an anonymous booty call gift and we will just leave it blank. Oh yeah, and make sure you put the right “ship to” address when checking out as well. Our packaging team is super legit, and orders go out FAST, so we can’t always change it later.

 

IS EVERYTHING IN YOUR STORE AVAILABLE ONLINE?

Occasionally there will be certain items only available in our shops or vice versa, but we are always happy to get things to those who want them! If you see something in our shop that is not online, just shoot us an email at hello@piphpaper.com and we will help you out. DO YOU HAVE AN ACTUAL STORE? WHERE IS IT LOCATED?

Our Flagship Store is located in SE Portland at:

Our Second Location will be opening at Portland International Airport in May 2024.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

Our Flagship Store is open Wednesday through Sunday 10am to 5pm PST. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesday as that is when we do all of our volume printing of those fabulous cards we make ;)

 

CAN I ORDER ONLINE AND PICKUP AT THE STORE?

Totally! Simply place your order online and select the “in-store pickup” option at checkout. Please allow 48 hours for pickup as our staff has to gather your order from inventory after purchase. As a reminder, our shop is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

WHAT IS LETTERPRESS?

Letterpress is old. Real old. Dating back hundreds of years, letterpress is the original printing method invented by Johannes Gutenberg. And these are the same printing presses we still use… hot damn is right!

If you’re interested in the nitty gritty - letterpress uses the relief method, in which a reversed, raised surface is inked and then pressed into a sheet of paper to produce a positive right-reading image. First, we design our greeting cards or custom paper projects, and then a custom plate is created for every design. After the plate is made, we hand mix each ink color and hand register the press for printing. Next, each piece of paper is fed into an antique press one sheet at a time. And keep in mind that only one color can be printed at a time – so the card has to be separately run through the press for every color used. Wowza.

The end result? An elegant card or custom project on thick 100% tree-free paper, with original humor and crisp, classic typography. As each card is fed through the press separately, each piece is distinctive and a true work of art.

DO YOU OFFER FULLY CUSTOM PROJECTS?

Sometimes. On very rare occasions we will take on custom letterpress projects. If something is super exciting to us, if it is a bad-ass woman owned brand that we want to collaborate with, if it is super PINK, basically we call the shots and sometimes we say yes. That said, we are a very busy global brand and unfortunately, we often can’t! If you do have something super cool in the works email us at hello@piphpaper.com and we will get the convo started.

 

DO YOU DO WEDDING INVITATIONS?

Fuck, no! We LOVE a beautiful wedding invitation, but that’s not our bag. If you’re based on the West Coast and are looking for a fully custom wedding suite with a wow factor, we recommend you reach out to Boarding School Collective— a woman-owned business run by a wonderful human, Jess Astrella. Let her know we sent you. If you are based on the East Coast and looking for a luxury, bespoke wedding option, we recommend Suite Paperie — a woman-owned business run by a badass lady, Becca Goldberg. Tell her we sent you.

 

HOW LONG DOES CUSTOM LETTERPRESS TAKE TO CREATE?

A fully custom letterpress project can take anywhere from a minimum of 3 weeks to over three months to create, print and ship. Semi-custom stationery orders generally take about 2-3 weeks to produce after proofs have been approved. 

 

CAN I RUSH MY LETTERPRESS ORDER?

If you’re in a hurry, custom letterpress rush requests can be accommodated for a 40% up-charge and a time frame must be agreed upon before an order is placed. Basically – we can make it happen but it is gonna be way more expensive than just planning ahead.

WHY IS LETTERPRESS SO DAMN PRICEY?

Letterpress is an art. It requires skilled technique and everything is created by hand. The press registration and ink mixing is all done by hand and every card is printed individually one color at a time. We’re tired just talking about it. Also, we source the best materials and use gorgeous, luxe, 100% tree-free post consumer recycled cotton paper. Basically, you get what you pay for…and this shit is good!
